Product Recall - Kaius 01

Product Recall - Kaius 01

Dear BMC Retailer,

BMC has identified a potential technical issue with the Kaius 01 forks of models first launched in June 2022. The affected models are exclusively Kaius 01 models from MY23 and MY24 model years.

BMC has identified a potential issue with certain forks of the Kaius 01 model that first went on sale in July 2022. Owners of Kaius 01 models from all Model Years 2023, 2024 and 2026 are being asked to immediately stop using their bikes and contact their local BMC authorized dealer for a free inspection and, if their bike has an affected fork, a free replacement fork.

The steerer tube of these bicycles may crack or break during use under certain conditions, which could result in a fall hazard.

Although the forks of models from the current MY26 model year are not affected, they are being recalled as a precaution to verify that no older fork has been replaced on these bikes at any point.

As a result, all Kaius 01 models must be returned to a BMC Retailer for a fork inspection to determine whether a new fork needs to be installed.

No other BMC models are affected by this issue.
